An all inclusive warm weather long weekend to transform your running. Designed by women runners for women runners.

We love running. We love to keep running by looking after our running bodies - through yoga, massage, strength, nutrition. We love to run regardless of the terrain. Trail running, road running, hills, speed runs and slow runs, running with friends, running to clear our head, running with our dogs! This retreat is aimed at ALL levels of runner - whether you have many medals, are new to running or like to run for freedom & fun - this retreat will be sure to help you get the best from your time on your feet! 👣

Women have a different physiology to men, which means the female athlete needs to train differently to the male athlete. During this weekend we will not only focus on improving running technique, strength & flexibility but we will help you get the best from your training for your female body - helping you also to improve your health & wellbeing!

 

What’s involved?

We will share tried and tested techniques, tools & practices that proved to have helped both, us in our running endeavours, as well as our runners, improve form, efficiency endurance and most of all longevity.

We want you to run, relax, yoga & have fun. During the stay you will experience idyllic runs for all levels of runner; run sessions run technique coaching , run specific strength & flexibility yoga classes, informative talks & workshops on managing & preventing injury for those who want to learn plus a 30 minute sports massage.

ALL specifically designed by female runners for female runners to help:

  • Improve run specific strength, stability & mobility

  • Improve run fitness & endurance

  • Aid rest & recovery

  • Improve breathing capacity

  • Prevent & manage injury

  • Give us confidence to adapt our training according to our cycle, through peri-menopause and after menopause

  • Work towards our running goals

All sessions are completely optional - you can attend as many or as few as you like.

Where we stay:

Run Strong will be hosted in the Spanish hamlet of La Alqueria, at the luxury resort The Palms Spain in the hills of the stunning Andalusian countryside and the beautiful beaches of the Costa deli Sol, just a short drive from Malaga airport.

All en-suite rooms are individually decorated to a high standard, complete with air conditioning/heating, quality bedding, a safe, free WiFi & and outside terrace. Towels and a running clothes washing service are also included.

We have scheduled the activity timetable around the delicious menu of home cooked vegan & vegetarian meals & snacks to keep us energised, refuelled and feeling fabulous!!

Despite the fun filled agenda there will be plenty of time for some well earned rest & relaxation - whether taking time to chill out in the hot tub, curl up & read a book in the beautiful gardens or making the most of the winter sun relaxing by the pool.

Sam Edwards

Functional Performance & Running Coach; Triathlon England level 2 coach; Personal Trainer; Run Technique Instructor; +800hr Experienced Yoga Teacher (ERYT); Holistic Massage Therapist; multiple marathon runner & Ironman triathlete. Lover of trail running, canicross, open water swimming and road cycling.

The prices are as follows for 4 nights all inclusive:

  • £695 for shared occupancy

  • £1049 for sole occupancy

What is NOT included:

  • flights

  • personal travel insurance

  • transfers to & from the airport will be charged at €25 (payable locally)

  • alcohol, soft drinks & incidentals available at the honesty bar (cash only)

  • any Covid testing that may be required at time of travel
